Stop. Relax. Breathe... This free course is offered for the benefit of those who would like to take a closer look at the stress factors in their life and discover a way to balance the 'volume' of stress for optimal performance.
Course content was originally presented to RMU students at the January 2021 Student Success Workshop.
This course can be completed in less than 30 minutes and consists of a video recording and a short reflective exercise.
- relax a bit
- take stock of where you are at as it relates to stress
- gain an understanding of stress and its effects
- apply some strategies for lowering the "volume" of stress to optimal levels.
Verl T. Pope, EdD, LPC, CMHC, NCC, CCMHC, ACS
Dr. Verl T. Pope is a Professor of Counseling and the founding Program Director for the new counseling programs at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has extensive experience in counseling program development and counseling accreditation. He served as the Counseling Program Chair for the Utah Campus of the University of Phoenix. Prior to that, he was a Professor of Counseling and Chair of the Department of Counseling, Social Work and Leadership at Northern Kentucky University.
